Lenny Cook was a high school basketball player from New York with dreams of becoming a superstar.

He was considered one of the top prospects in the country and had a bright future ahead of him.

However, instead of taking the traditional road of attending college, he decided to enter the NBA draft straight out of high school.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned, and his career never took off.

Then after averaging 30 points and 15 rebounds per game as a sophomore, the nation started to take notice of his talents.

As a junior, Cook transferred to Northern Valley Regional High School in New Jersey, and continued his dominant play, averaging 25 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks per game, ▪ It was Cook's senior year when he achieved something that when you look back on it, seems unreal.

Cook was on script to win the game.

But then, LeBron stole the ball from Cook and scored the game-winning basket.

This game led to the nation first knowing about LeBron James, and it eventually led to LeBron appearing on the sports-illustrated cover with the words, the chosen one.

Cook only played in 8 games as a senior because he turned 19 and regulations in New Jersey prohibited him from continuing to play.

And finally, in the United States Basketball League, as a member of the Brooklyn Kings.
