Simon video 15: Lord, I thank You for all my blessings | Prayer for Gratitude and Blessings
Today, we pause to thank the Lord for His countless blessings—both seen and unseen. In this prayer, we open our hearts in thankfulness, recognizing His goodness in every area of our lives. Let us come before Him with gratitude and praise.
Heavenly Father, as I quiet my heart in this gentle moment, I come before You with a spirit filled with deep and sincere gratitude. I lift my eyes to You, the source of every good and perfect gift, and I take a moment to reflect on just how blessed I truly am. Too often I rush through life, focused on what I lack or what I wish for, forgetting to pause and truly acknowledge all that You have already poured into my life. But tonight, Lord, I choose to stop and simply say—thank You.
Thank You for the gift of life itself—for each breath that rises in my chest and every heartbeat that quietly sustains me. Thank You for the miracle of waking up each day with the chance to start again. I know that even the ability to think clearly, to move, to speak, to feel the warmth of the sun or the softness of a loved one's voice—is a blessing not to be taken for granted. Each small moment is a thread in the tapestry of Your grace, woven with love and intention.
Thank You, Lord, for the people You have placed in my life—those who love me, support me, and walk beside me on this journey. Whether they are family, friends, mentors, or even strangers who show kindness when I need it most, I know that You use others to reflect Your goodness. I am grateful for those who challenge me to grow, who remind me of truth, who bring joy, laughter, and comfort into my days. Thank You for the bonds that hold, even through storms, and for the gentle memories that live within my heart.
Father, I thank You for the provision You bring into my life—the roof over my head, the food on my table, the clothes that keep me warm, and the work that gives purpose and stability. Sometimes I forget that these daily gifts are not guaranteed but are blessings that come from Your generous hand. In moments when I have had little, You were still there. In moments when I had more than enough, You taught me to share. In both scarcity and abundance, You have been my provider, steady and true.
Lord, I thank You not only for the visible blessings but for the hidden ones—for the prayers You answered in ways I didn’t expect, for the times You protected me from harm I never even saw coming, and for the delays and detours that later proved to be Your hand guiding me in wisdom. Thank You for the closed doors that led to better ones, for the heartbreaks that became the soil where deeper love could grow, and for every situation that refined my character and drew me closer to You.
In the moments when I was weak, Lord, You gave me strength. In the days I felt lost, You provided direction. When I was weary, Your Spirit lifted me, and when I was afraid, Your peace surrounded me. I thank You for being my constant companion, my hiding place, my light in the darkness. Your faithfulness never wavers. Even when I have been ungrateful, distracted, or distant, Your love has never changed. That alone is a blessing beyond measure.
Thank You for hope, Lord—hope that anchors me through uncertain days, hope that reminds me of who You are and who I am in You. Thank You for joy that bubbles up from deep within, not dependent on circumstance, but grounded in Your presence. Thank You for peace, that quiet assurance that even in the chaos, You are near. These are blessings that cannot be measured by the world but are treasures of the soul, gifts from Your Spirit that keep me rooted and strong.
Thank You, Lord, for Your Word, which brings light to my path and wisdom to my mind. Thank You for the quiet moments of prayer, where I can pour out my heart and know You are listening. Thank You for the beauty of creation that points me back to You—the whisper of trees, the sound of rain, the vastness of the stars, the rhythm of the earth all declaring Your glory. Each of these is a blessing, a reminder that I am part of something greater than myself.
Most of all, Father, I thank You for Your Son, Jesus. For His sacrifice, His love, His grace. Thank You for the cross where mercy met justice, and for the resurrection that brings eternal hope. Because of Him, I can live forgiven, redeemed, and restored. I thank You for the gift of salvation—the greatest blessing of all—that through Him, I am adopted into Your family and promised a future filled with peace and glory.
As I rest tonight, I rest in the knowledge that I am held in the hands of a loving God. I don’t need to strive or worry. I don’t need to fear tomorrow or carry the weight of yesterday. I am simply called to be present in this moment—grateful and aware of all that You are and all that You’ve done. Help me, Lord, to live each day with a grateful heart. Let gratitude be more than a feeling; let it be a way of life. Let it guide my actions, shape my words, and influence how I love and serve others.
Remind me often, even in busyness, to stop and give thanks. Remind me to notice the blessings, both great and small. And when I am tempted to complain or compare, remind me of how richly I’ve been blessed. Let contentment take root in my soul and let thanksgiving flow freely from my lips.
Thank You, Lord, for everything. For what You’ve given, for what You’ve taken, and for what You are still doing in my life. You are good, and Your love endures forever. I offer this prayer with a heart full of praise and a spirit full of thanks. In Jesus’ holy name, I pray. Amen.
As this prayer comes to a close, carry a thankful heart into every moment. God’s blessings surround you more than you know.
